Got precious memories and home movies on videotape? Help keep those memories alive by transferring them to DVD. Videotapes store information by magnetism and that magnetism begins to break down as the physical tape begins to age. DVDs are a much more robust technology that uses optical digital technology. The quality of videotapes is severely compromised after 10-15 years, whereas the quality of DVDs is preserved and never degrades.
